How Much Does a Website Cost in Hyderabad?
A basic one-page website in Hyderabad costs ₹2,000–₹25,000 from a freelancer, ₹25,000–₹80,000 from a small agency, and ₹1,00,000+ from a larger agency. The real driver isn't who you hire — it's page count, whether you need e-commerce, and how much content you already have ready.
The three price bands
| Who | Typical price | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
Freelancer You deal with one person directly. Fastest and cheapest for a simple site; depth varies a lot by individual. | ₹2,000 – ₹25,000 | 3 days – 3 weeks |
Small agency A small team — usually a designer plus a developer. More process, more polish, slower turnaround. | ₹25,000 – ₹80,000 | 3 – 6 weeks |
Larger agency Worth it mainly if you need ongoing campaigns, multiple stakeholders managed, or a large, complex build. | ₹1,00,000+ | 6 – 12 weeks |
These are general industry bands for the Indian market, not a specific company's pricing — use them to sanity-check any quote you receive.
What actually drives the price
- Page count. A one-page site and a 6-page business site with a blog are different products, not the same product at different prices.
- E-commerce vs brochure. Adding a payment gateway, product catalogue and order management is real, separate work — it should be priced as such.
- Content readiness. If your logo, photos and copy are ready on day one, the build is faster. Waiting on content is the single biggest cause of delay, not code.
- Custom features. Booking systems, member logins, integrations with a CRM or WhatsApp — these move a project from a template-level build to custom software.
- Ongoing maintenance. A one-time build price and a monthly care plan are two different line items. Ask which one a quote is actually covering.
What I charge
Here's my own published pricing, so you have a concrete reference point — not a "contact for pricing" page:
| Package | Price | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Starter Website | from ₹1,999 | 3 days |
| Business Website | from ₹9,999 | 1–2 weeks |
| E-commerce Store | from ₹4,999 | 2–3 weeks |
| Custom Web App | quoted privately | 4–8 weeks |
Before you pay anyone
Regardless of who you hire, check these five things first:
- Ask for 2 live URLs you can open on your phone — not screenshots or a PDF portfolio.
- Confirm in writing who owns the domain and hosting account. It should be you, not the developer.
- Confirm how many rounds of revisions are included before extra charges kick in.
- Ask whether content and images are your job or theirs — this is the single biggest cause of delayed projects.
- Pay in milestones, never 100% upfront.
Frequently asked questions
Why won’t most Hyderabad web design companies just tell me a price?+
Because a fixed number upfront removes their room to scope the project up later, and a real quote depends on things they haven’t asked you yet — page count, whether you need e-commerce, and how much content you already have. That said, a competent freelancer or agency should be able to give you a band within a few minutes of hearing what you need, even before a full discovery call.
Is a ₹1,999 website actually usable, or is it a bait price?+
For a genuine one-page site — a shop, a personal brand, an event — it’s a real, complete deliverable: a mobile-first page with your services, a photo gallery, a contact form and a WhatsApp button, hosted properly. It is not a 6-page business site with a blog and e-commerce; that is a different, correctly-priced package. Ask exactly what is included before paying anything.
What is the most expensive mistake people make when hiring cheap?+
Not owning the domain or hosting account. If the developer registers the domain in their own name "to make it easier," you are locked in — moving to anyone else later means starting over, or negotiating to buy back your own domain. Confirm ownership in writing before you pay anything, regardless of the price.
Do I need a custom-coded site, or is a website builder (Wix, Shopify) enough?+
For a simple brochure site or a small store, a builder can be genuinely fine and cheaper to maintain long-term. Custom development (Next.js, WordPress with custom theme work) earns its cost when you need specific functionality a builder doesn’t offer, faster load times than a builder template, or full control over how the site is structured for SEO.
